my poem

I am from the country of mountains, rivers and forests,
Freedom is given by God and taken by man.

My mountains rise high in the sky and reach to heaven
Man controls the life I live, but no one governs my heart

I am the friend of forest and I fly with the birds in the sky,
who plays with the mud and sand that
brings joy and  happiness all the day.

My childhood toys and doll were stone and sand
But I dreams were reaching to the sky.

I am from a place where at night the light is absent,
but the setting of the sun brings blinking stars and moon.

My house and my bed are made from bamboo and my roof of thatch
inside the home the family is fulfilled with the strength of love

I am from a culture with history where oldest is goldest
And we carry this richness to our new land of future and freedom.

My school was a thousand strong, planting the seeds of future,
To bloom like a flower to spread the knowledge

I am from the deep rivers, where pure waters cleanse
the heart to bring brightness to the soul.
